"Jeff had beautiful eyes that were filled with love which made the decision to share them an easier one."
donor wife

The Second Chance Trust Fund (SCTF) works to help solve the critical shortage of organ, eye and tissue donors through education and awareness efforts. The fund is supported by a voluntary $1 donation made when a person obtains or renews an Ohio drivers license or state identification card from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV). This voluntary contribution supports donation education efforts in the State of Ohio to reach students, medical professionals and the general public, and is disbursed through grants.

Many grant projects have been supported with dollars raised through the Second Chance Trust Fund since its founding in 1997. These projects have raised awareness about the importance of organ and tissue donation throughout Ohio, and include the establishment of the Ohio Donor Registry, organ and tissue donation awareness materials for driver education classes, a nursing school curriculum, and a statewide awareness campaign, to name just a few.
