Overview
Organ, eye and tissue donation is the result of people helping people. One person's decision to be a donor can change the lives of more than 50 people who are in need of a transplant. Individuals and corporations can take on the challenge of raising awareness about the importance of donation and transplantation. We invite you to be part of the solution - together, we can save lives!
How to Donate
The Ohio Donor Registry is a first-person consent registry established in July 2002. It provides Ohioans the opportunity to give legal consent to be an organ, eye and tissue donor at the time of death. Signing up in the Registry is simple - an individual may do so anytime online at this site, by saying "yes" when receiving or renewing their driver license or state ID at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, or by completing a mail-in paper enrollment form.

Donation Process
From tragedy to triumph: The donation process begins with an individual's commitment to share the "Gift of Life." This single decision helps bring something positive to a tragic situation. There are many people involved in making the donation and transplantation process a success, but without the heroes of donation, those waiting for a transplant will never experience the triumph that comes from receiving a second chance at life.
